Business English – frasi per riunioni, presentazioni e trattative

In riunione dici We have to discuss about the budget e il collega britannico sorride: discuss non vuole about.

In riunione: Let's get started, Could I just add something?, Let's move on to…. Per il disaccordo: I see your point, but…. Nelle presentazioni, frasi che guidano chi ascolta: First, I'll…; Moving on to…; To sum up….

MomentoFrasi
IniziareShall we get started? / The aim of today's meeting is to…
Passare al punto successivoLet's move on to the next item on the agenda.
IntervenireCould I just add something? / Sorry to interrupt, but…
Chiedere un parereWhat do you think, Sarah? / Any thoughts on this?
ChiarireSorry, could you clarify what you mean by…?
RimandareLet's put that on hold / take that offline.
ChiudereLet's wrap up. So the action points are…

Una riunione si have o si hold, non si make: We have a meeting at three (vedi make o do).

You're wrong.I'm not sure that's quite right.
I don't agree.I see your point, but I see it a bit differently.
That's a bad idea.I'm not sure that would work. Have we considered…?
No.I'm afraid that might be difficult.
Do it by Friday.Would it be possible to have it by Friday?
💡
L'inglese britannico ammorbidisce.

MomentoFrasi (signposting)
IntroduzioneToday I'm going to talk about… / My presentation is divided into three parts.
IniziareLet's start with… / First of all, …
Passare oltreMoving on to… / That brings me to my next point.

SottolineareThe key point here is… / What's really important is…
ConcludereTo sum up, … / In conclusion, …
DomandeI'm happy to take any questions. / That's a great question.

FunzioneFrasi
ProporreWe'd like to propose… / How about…?
Porre una condizioneWe could agree to that, provided that… / If you can…, we can…
Chiedere di piùIs there any flexibility on the price?
RifiutareI'm afraid that's not something we can accept.
Trovare un compromessoPerhaps we could meet halfway.
ConcludereI think we have a deal. / Let's put that in writing.

Nelle trattative si usa molto il periodo ipotetico (If you order 500 units, we can offer a 10% discount): ripassalo in periodo ipotetico.

I agree o I completely agree. Per un accordo parziale: I agree up to a point, but…

Con formule che ammorbidiscono: I see your point, but… / I'm not sure I agree with that. / I'm afraid I see it differently. Un secco I don't agree o You're wrong suona aggressivo in un contesto britannico.

Cosa significa agenda in inglese?

L'ordine del giorno di una riunione: What's on the agenda?

Discuss vuole about?

No: si dice discuss the budget, non discuss about the budget. Invece talk about e a discussion about sono corretti.

Come si chiude una riunione in inglese?

Let's wrap up. / To sum up, we've agreed that… / So the next steps are… / Thanks, everyone, for your time.

Riunioni: Shall we get started?, Let's move on, Let's wrap up. Disaccordo: I see your point, but…. Presentazioni: First…, Moving on…, To sum up…. Attenzione a discuss (senza about), information (senza -s) e ai falsi amici argument, society, eventually, assist. Inizia dall'esercizio 1.
